Outlook locked up, then RSS Feed message

I'm running Office XP on Win XP. All updates installed.

About an hour ago, Outlook locked up. I waited 30 minutes, then
rebooted.

When I tried to start Outlook, I got a message saying that it had not
closed properly and aksing if I wanted to start in Safe Mode.

I said OK and then got an error message about RSS feeds.

Here's the message text:

Outlook, Windows Internet Explorer, and other applications save lists
of RSS Feeds that you subscribe to.

The Common Feed List in Microsoft Windows maintains one synchronized
list of RSS Feeds. Do you want your RSS Feeds in Outlook to be
synchronized with the Common Feed List?

I also uploaded a screen capture:

As far as I know, I do not use RSS feeds. How should I respond to this
message and then what should I do?

Thanks

Select no, you don't want to share a common feeds list. Outlook 2002
doesn't support RSS.

PS: Why did this message appear at this time -- just after a forced
shutdown and repair operation? Is there some way that I can find out
what it has been set to prior to the forced shutdown?

Well, Outlook 2007 does support feeds (but its not part of office xp) -
whether you enable it is up to you. I don't, in my experience when they are
shared you lose the rss feeds more often.

I'm not sure I understand the problem - did you repair outlook, your nntp
reader, or windows? We're using different nntp services so a delay in
syncing the servers is not unexpected.

Outlook froze up. I think it was the size of the PST file (see my
other post). I waited almost an hour and then rebooted. It told me it
needed to force Outlook, which I allowed. When I restarted Outlook, it
said it hadn't been shut down properly and was doing some sort of scan
or repair. I did not do a manual repair at that time.

After some research, I found instructions for doing an Office Repair,
which I did. It found no problems.
