Outlook Live to Personal Folders

Hi
I'm trying to get Outlook live to syncronize messages and calendar entries
with my Personal folders. I only have a hotmail account and do not connect
to any exchnage servers or any other mail accounts.
Outlook Live always adds a new folder called "[xxx]@hotmail.com" and
synchronises with that whenever I try to use my hotmail account. This means
that I don't get "new email" system tray notifications and I get a real
headache with synching to my pda devices.
When I check the settings the hotmail account is set up to deliver new email
to "Personal Folders", but this doesnt seem to make any difference, it still
appears under the "[xxx]@hotmail.com" folder.
Am I doing something wrong?
All advice much appreciated.

Either setup the account to be your primairy account or create a new Outlook
profile and choose for Other when selecting the account type. Once you've
got Hotmail locally cached connect your additional pst-file by File-> Open->
Outlook Data File...

Set the hotmail account as the default and you'll have just one folder set
(unless you want more than one)
