Outlook keeps asking for the password for my email accounts

I am using Outlook 2003 that came with Office Professional Eddition on a
computer with Windows XP SP2. I have my password saved in Outlook for each
of my accounts. Every time I start IOutlook, I receive the message asking
for the password for the accounts. The password appears in the dialogue box
in astrics. It is there. If I leave Outlook open, at times it will work
fine; however, periodically it will come up asking for the passwords for my
accounts. I cannot leave the program unattended or this message will appear
and it will time out. There are even times where after I click the OK
button, because the password is allready filled in, it keeps popping up with
the same messange and I have to reboot. I have tried going into the registry
and deleting the Microsoft storage area where the passwords are stored and
re-doing everything to no avail. any assistance you can provide would be
greatly appreciated.

Vince, thanks for getting back with me so quickly. I have already taken that
step. I have also played around some more in the account settings in outlook
and have noticed in the outgoing server tab, if you have the box checked that
says use the same information as the incomming server that it usually does
not transfer properly. I have selected the box that says, use this
information and filled in the same info. So far so good. Let me know what
you think. I appreciate your help. Thanks again.

Vince, sorry to bother you again before getting back with me. I got the same
message from outlook so I went back again and tried to delete the registry
key in the protected storage system provider and it just comes up with a
message saying error could not delete. All the permissions were set to full
control and everything was good to go. Regardless of what I do, when i check
the account settings in outlook, the password is there and the remember
password box is checked. Any other ideas you have would be most helpful.
thanks a million

I am having the same problem and hope someone has a fix. I am using an
e-mail redirector (inbox-to-go) to my wife's Treo, so if she is on the road
and the problem occurs, she does not get e-mails on her Treo until someone
notices the message on her computer and re-enters her password. Sometimes a
whole day goes by without the problem, and sometimes it occurs several times
a day.
