Outlook 2007 - Save Email Passwords - Multiple Email Accounts

K

KnightBall

I have 5 email accounts setup in outlook and have set all their passwords to
the same one. I have done this because when I type in the password and tell
outlook to save it, if I have an email account with a different password I
have to type it in each time. Or, if I tell the outlook to save the password
for the single email account that has different password, outlook
automatically retrieves that account but asks me to enter the passwords for
the other four (4) accounts.

Is there anyway to have outlook remember different passwords for different
email accounts. Any help appreciated. TIA

Outlook should already do this, even when all the accounts are located on
the same mail server.
A common cause of interference is having a virus scanner integrated with
Outlook or acting like a mail proxy. Disable/uninstall this integration and
try again.

Another possibility if you are using Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista;

Also; have you already updated Office 2007 to Service Pack 2?
