Outlook 2003, I can't hide the Outlook icon. Have tried the "hide always"

Forgot to mention--make sure you are not using the icon customization
by
right clicking on the Outlook icon. Use the Taskbar customization
instead
by
right clicking on the taskbar, properties, customize, then pick Always
Hide.

You can't hide the Outlook icon from the tray. "Hide When
Minimize "
hides Outlook from the TaskBar but not the tray. You can choose
not
to
show the envelope notification from the tray if you like, but the
Outlook icon stays.
