I configured Outlook to download the mail from my Hottmail account.
Is there a way to get my contacts from Hotmail into my Outlook
contact/address book?

I see an 'import' option on Hotmail but there does not seem to be an
'export' option.

I have used this with Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express 6.0.

1. Created a Hotmail Account in OE.
2. Opened the Address Book in OE.
3. Chose Tools-Synchronise Now. (this downloads my Hotmail Addresses to
OE.
4. Close OE.
5. Opened Outlook.
6. Opened Address Book.
7. Imported Address Book from OE.
(Entries will be duplicated, if they are already present.)

This is more a hack than something clean and simple. It may download or
import things other than the Hotmail/OE addresses. I do not recommend
it for the timid or the inexperienced. TTBOMK it is not reversible.

It seems that the OE synchronise capability will not be visible if
Reigistry settings are:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4]
"OlkContactRefresh"=dword:00000000
"OlkFolderRefresh"=dword:00000000
"FirstRun"=dword:00000001
"UseOutlook"=dword:00000001

"UseOutlook" must be removed or its value set to zero. Perhaps, the
second is safer. If you do not feel secure about editing the Registry,
it's unlikely that you should.
