outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close HELP

As soon as I load Outlook I get
"Microsoft outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Computer P4 2.8 with XP and office XP
-SP 2 with windows xp and sp3 with office
-crashes as soon as it tries to send/receive and 'loading' appears at
bottom right corner
I have gone through all the messages here and tried the following:

-detect and repair
-remove and reinstall office
-delete - extend.dat, outcmd.dat, views.dat
-uncheck and remove all add-ons
-run scanpst.exe
-.pst file appears ok as it will sync with pocket pc
-Note: also cannot restore to earlier date
-same problem occurs in outlook safe mode
-scanned for viruses
-ran spybot and adaware
-problem started after I installed new memory chips which turned out
to be defective.

Any ideas?
Has anyone ever solved this problem as I see lots of questions but no
one coming back to say it's fixed.

I think I may have solved the problem.
Outlook managed to stay running long enough for me to delete all my email accounts.
-rebooted and it's working!!!
Added 2 email accounts and still running after several hours.
Hopefully it will stay that way.
