What version of Outlook and what type of mail server?
How many folders do you currently have under Inbox?
At which point are you getting the error?

I have 4 folders under my inbox. Using outlook 2003 (all updates done). And
I'm using my works internal mail server if that helps. Thanks!!

Well, I'm assuming you're replying to my post, so, what helps first is that
you actually reply to my post, rather than replying to your original post.

What kind of server do you have internally? Exchange?

Have you tried creating a new profile?

Its and exchange server 2003. sorry for the lack of technical
knowledge.....
This does not happen on other profiles on the system. tried uninstalling
and
reinstalling office and no luck.

Ok, when you say it doesn't happen on other profiles on the system, do you
mean that you are logging into *Windows* as a different user or into
*Outlook* with a different user?

Basically, what I'm getting at is, on this system, simply log on as
yourself, go to Control Panel - Mail and create a new profile with only your
Exchange server account in it (leave off any pop3 accounts) and make sure
you are either prompted for your profile or automatically starting using the
new profile, and just go start Outlook (picking the new profile if you need
to) and see if the problem happens there.
