I tried to backup my Outlook files, preparing for a reformat and accidently
archived them insted ... up to the day before. To compound the error I saved
them to my D drive with another name. Now I can't access any of my old emails.

How do I reinstate them to my current Outlook?

How do I reinstate them to my current Outlook?

File-Open-Outlook data file and navigate to your archive folder.

And a tip - use the subject line to write a precis of your problem - the
subject "outlook forums" does not convey anything at all about your post and
is quite meaningless.
