I cannot open attachments to e-mails on outlook express.
It says OE has removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your e-mail.
What is happening???

the reason that you are getting that error message is that
the attachment contained a virus. there are very many
virus out there that will use an email address that you
recognize, and then when you go to open it, the virus then
implants itself to your computer causing your computer to
go haywire.

so my best advice to you is to DELETE that email message,
scan your computer thoroughly, and go to
http://www.symantec.com/ for more information on the email
virus.

hope that helped

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! this is the DEFAULT setting of OE6. It does this to EVERY
and ANY attachment.

For the 150,100 time - Tools-Options-Security.
have you not bothered to look at ANY of the OE settings or do ANY research
before posting?

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!

What a joke. Don't bother to post when you don't know anything.
