My emails are only recieved in black print with no color
as they used to be before I changed to XP professional.

When I hit reply, the new window opens and the page looks
like it should with the hyperlinks in blue, but I can't
open the hyperlinks.

There are no hyperlinks in the original email.

Try this, open Outlook Express, go to Tools, select Options, go to the Read
tab, if there's a check next to "Read All Messages in Plain Text," remove
the check, click apply and OK. If there is no check next to it, place a
check there, click apply and ok, then remove the check and click apply and
ok.

Hyperlinks are not active in reply messages until sent. In other words,
what you are seeing in the reply message box is by design.
