Someone is using my e-mail address...i keep getting messages from "mail
delivery subsystem"
saying e-mail was undeliverable or it had "permanent errors", etc.,
etc....someone in the newsgroup said i had a virus....but i don't...my ISP
is Worldnet and they told me someone is using my address.....but how is that
possivble?? how can that be accomplished and how can i stop it????

Returned mail that was never sent:

This is coming from a virus infected computer that is using your
address to
spoof the From field. It's very common. As of now, all you can do is
delete them.

The way many mass emailing worms work is that they send out emails
from the infected machine to every address they find in the local
address book, and randomly select one of those found addresses to place
in the "from" fields. What this means is that someone else who has your
email address in his/her contact list may be the infected party. You
might consider advising everyone with who you've recently corresponded
that they should all perform virus scans.

Also. many spammers use software to "harvest" e-mail addresses from
public forums, such as this newsgroup, where you've made the mistake of
posting your real e-mail address. You can now look forward to receiving
a lot of spam.
