Verizon technicians over the phone had me reset some functions on my
computer which wiped out new passwords for outlook express and reset it
to earlier codes. Problem is I don't know the earlier codes. How can I
find out those codes or reset my password to allow me to get into my
email?

Try this Trail for password retriever and you can get your password before
the trail finish, if you like it you can but if not uninstall and job done.
Password Retriever 5.3.4

Or Try system restore, but you will get back to old trouble again?.
HTH.
Let us know.

Best to post to an Outlook Express newsgroup.

Call Verizon support again and have them reset your password (and tell you
what the new password is).
