Could someone kindly instruct me as to how to make an Outlook Express
shortcut icon appear in the system tray. Win XP Home.

Do you mean the Quick Launch? Right click on the TASKBAR and select TOOLBARS
and select Qucik Launch. If its not in the quick launch just click and drag
the Outlook Express ICON to that toolbar and it will appear there.
