Outlook Express will not open

Helping friend set up computer. Clicked on Outlook Express nothing
happens. No error message, just fails to launch. Tried to reinstall OE
off cd, still will not start. Any ideas?

Hello!
Have you tried :-

Start>Run>type sfc /scannow>ok

Is it with service pack? If not download XP Service pack 1
and retry.
