Outlook Express will not let me delete mail or empty trash

Please help...I am receiving new messages but unable to delete read messages
or empty trash.

It depends on what version of Outlook Express you are using and what type of
email account you are talking about. I have experienced not being able to
delete messages with an IMAP account when accessed from Outlook XP versus on
a webpage. It would be helpful if you could describe your problem and
