Has anyone heard of a virus which causes the pop server address of an account
to be changed to a spam server everytime it's started up?

Is there a name for it?

Yes.

Is there a name for it?

It's called Norton AntiVirus, for one. Some other antivirus programs do the
same thing.

Is there a stated fix?

Yes, turn off the mail integration of your antivirus package.
