Outlook Express Uninstall

Since I don't use Outlook Express, I used Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs | Windows Components -- unchecked Outlook Express and it
appears to remove Outlook Express. The desktop icon goes away, the
Start Menu item goes away. But the Program Files\Outlook Express
folder remains and there are executables and dll's in it. Also,
if I save a .eml file, I discover that the filetype is associated
with Outlook Express which opens it.

This is uninstalled?

Might I inquire as to the point of uninstalling OE? You don't have to use
it, but it's part of IE, really. Why not just leave it be? If you plan to
use .eml files, you need it, anyway.
