Outlook Express Saving Attachement

I have some strange problem. When I try to save a
attachement in Outlook Express, I get an error saying
THERE WAS AN ERROR SAVING ONE OR MORE OF THE
ATTACHEMENTS. PLEASE CHECK YOUR DISK SPACE. However, I
have more then 7GB free space on C: and on the D: partion
more then 18GB free space. Also another weird problem
maybe related to it is if I download some file from the
Internet IE 6.0 (save to disk) the sound indicated that
the download has completed but the OK button is faded out
and the status only says 99%. The file also won't be
saved. Anyone had the same problem and what is the
solution?
