Outlook Express Problem

Derek

When I close Outlook Express 6.0 I get the following
error:

The instruction at "0x77f58d2c" referenced memory
at "0x009a44a8". The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Any ideas?

Nope... I don't know anything about that one... you'll have to wait for
someone who knows OE "inside" better.

Cheers !

I had a similar problem and discovered that it was something to do wit
Windows Messenger.

I had a configuration that automatically signed onto the Messenge
Service whenever I opened Outlook Express.

Quite often (although not every time) whenever I had checked my mai
and closed Outlook Express, I received a similar error message (Memor
could not be 'written').

By removing the automatic Messenger log on option, I seem to hav
solved the problem.

In Outlook Express, select TOOLS and then OPTIONS.

In the GENERAL tab menu, remove the tick mark from the optio
'Automatically Log Onto Windows Messenger' and then apply the change.

Of course now I have to remember to sign into Messenger, (which I ten
to forget to do) but this seems a small price to pay in order to avoi
the annoying error message.

Hope this works as well for you as it did for me
