I have office 2003 and use outlook as my email client, however when load it
up thru the ie6 browser outlook express always
loads up and when I go into options it is on outlook express no matter how
many times
I change it.

how can I stop outlook express from being my email client.

All I use OE is for newsgroups,

My guess is, it's getting changed when you use OE for newsgroups. You don't
need to do that. In Outlook 2003, go to Tools, select Customize, from the
Categories list, select "Go," scroll the list on the right to news, select
it, drag it to the toolbar and release the mouse button. Now, when you wish
to read newsgroups, click that button.

This opens the Outlook Newsreader, it is essentially Outlook Express without
the e-mail client and it shouldn't change your default e-mail client
settings in IE.
