Outlook Express Newsgroup reader locks up

I run Norton Antivirus V 11.0.2.4; Outlook Exp 6.00.2900.2180 to read new
groups; Outlook 2002(10.6515.6626) SP3 for email, calendar, etc; XP Home
Edition; IE 6.0.2900.2180.

Problem: In IE, I click on read news and it opens Outlook Exp with message
you are not suscribed. So I click yes to suscribe. What happens is the
screen turns pale blue and the only way I can access is to hit escape key.
But when I click on suscribe, same thing.

This is a new development. I have never had any problems. I asked my
service provider if they had newgroup problems and they say no.
