Outlook Express & KB912919, KB 908519 Updates

Joe

I have three xp Sp2 computers, each with NIS.
Ever since the recent security fix, KB912919 and KB 908519, two of the
computers cannot get to my email server using Outlook Express. The Third
works perfectly. All three have the same settings.
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

How does this problem become apparent?

In Tools, Options, Connection disable Hang up
after Send and Receive. Do a Send and Receive
and copy and paste the Error message on the
Error tab of the Send and Receive Window.

Hope this helps.

It's an Outlook Express not a Windows update problem.

But they might have had this issue come up before Gerry. Windows Update
is a good place for info on problems post installation of updates, not
just problems with installing updates themselves.

Well it's now academic as the bear came over
the mountain to see what he could see. He saw the
other side of the mountain and posted links back
whence he came. The OP now has a choice of where
to go for further advice.
