Outlook express doesn't work

I bought the new xp system had it installed, only had a
couple of weeks and the system doesn't work at all. I
couldn't dial out. Couldn't get the internet to work.
Called my server. They were able to get the web to work,
but not the outlook express. I feel it is a waste of
money on this new system. Any suggestions on what to do
to fix my outlook express. Can't get the system to work
at all. I found I couldn't get ahold of microsoft for help
either. I typed my product number in and their system had
a problem recognizing it. so I couldn't get the help I
need. Any suggestions would be helpful
