Outlook Express-cant open

I have two E-mail accounts with my ISP so my spouse and I
can each have private mail. We use OE 6 with XP home.
Normal function is to click OE and screen opens up. We can
then access in and out box, tools, accts, etc. Recently
when I click on OE I am presented with an identity login
box which asks me to select an identity and give a
password. Any and all passswords are rejected and I am
unable to get beyond this point. If I try to create a new
password in managing identities I am stymied as I must
confirm old password before editing properties. I can't
even delete identity without providing password which is
again not accepted. Result is I can't access OE screen.
I recently installed Svc Pk2 so I did a system restore to
an earlier date. The OE then performs normally but I lost
the Svc Pk install. How do I retain the Svc Pk2 update
while also preserving the normal functioning of OE. I'd
like the OE screen to come up without having to do an
identity log on. Thanks
