Outlook Express brings up unexpanded window when read or reply to

I have Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5512

This has just started recently and I haven't done anything that I am aware
of to cause it.

The Outlook Express Inbox or any other folder comes up fully expanded as it
should, but when I click on an email to read it, the window that comes up is
not expanded and is in fact down on the left part of the screen and off the
edge and bottom so I have to expand it to read it. I expand it, but then
when I click REPLY, the same size and positioning of the widow occurs.

How do I fix this?

Open a new email. Stretch the window to the size you want. Close it.
