Outlook Express being discontinued?

We have been told by the University of Phoenix that OE support is being
discontinued. Is this true? When will it happen?

I haven't heard of such thing, but then again, this group supports Microsoft
Outlook and not Outlook Express. OE volunteers are down the hall in:

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer_ie6.outlookexpress

Outside of that and the way I see it, its more of a name change and the
removing of it from the IE6 -> IE7 upgrade experience. In Vista, Windows
Mail looks like Outlook Express to me.

better screen shot

Well the name is discontinued. In Windows Vista it is rebranded as Windows
Mail.

I guess that I need to be more specific. Will support of OE be discontinued
in Windows XP? Will the "rebranded" tool called Windows Mail have similar
functionalities as OE? Will we be able to use it the same way we used OE?
Will we be able to export OE and import EVERYTHING into Windows Mail? And the
final question: are there any plans to stop support in any way for OE in
Windows XP?

Support for OE is not being dropped, period.

After furious head scratching, Parris asked:

As someone has already mentioned in the first reply, this is not an
Outlook Express group.
How about answering ALL of my specific questions?
