Updates seem to have trouble.
To start I could not get the scanner to work as it depended on the Twain - I
finally reinstalled win2000 and used some of the files from a previous backup to
get on even keel - it worked well but now have trouble with updates.
SP 4 has been installed.
Error message is MSMQ previous version found but reg entry missing or corrupt,
cannot continue. I think that was KB911564

Also Outlook EXpress KB897715 will not update. I am not worried about that as I
never use Outlook Express but it may indicate more trouble afoot.

If you're thinking the update caused the problem then you can always call
1-866-PCSAFETY for free support on security related hotfixes.

No not at all, I am more likely to think that I caused the trouble at some time.
I think using 'easy clean' at some time caused my scanner to go off. Even that I
am not so sure about as a scanner is something you don't use every day.
Might have to go in an see if I can make a repair.
