Blue screen

Must have been at least 18 months ago since I installed 2 x700GB disks in a Raid
Array. There seem to be no trouble at all but today just after booting (and
completing the process) a blue screen appeared. I reported to MS and got a
message that the system was missing a driver for the raid. Motherboard is an
Intel D915PBL and I have xp Pro SP 3 with up to date updates. I have managed to
download IaStor from Intel but the question is- how to install.
I have placed a screen shot from my computer with the information on
www.iinet.net.au/~borge/iaStor - it is a jpg file of just 28K

Now I wonder - how long has the computer run with this driver missing. Just
prior to that I had a message (last night) that the computer had recovered from
a serious error.

I have firewalls and scan daily for trouble. Also the router is set up to just
allow connections they we had decided to be good when iinet came on the
broadband.

Please help if you can

Did you install any update to this driver lately? Maybe from MS web site? If
so then it was your mistake. The best advice is - to use the drivers from
the companies making the hardware. Sounds very familiar when I install an MS
"updated" driver for network, printer, video, I immediately lose some
features of the whole device starts working pretty badly, especially the
network cards. I have never played with the MS drivers for RAID. Once OEM
version installed it works forever.
