Outlook Express all contacts dissapeared but exist in the address

Hi,
I hope there is someone who can help me with my Outlook Express problem. A
couple of weeks ago all the contacts became unvisible under Outlook Express
window. If I open the address book, though, they are visible there. I cannot
export the address book because the program tells me that it cannot see the
address book. But all the contacts are visible in the address book
application (tools-> address book).
If I enter a new contact the program says that I was successful but the new
contact immediately disappears.
Please, help.

There probably is, but that person isn't here. This group is for
discussing the WinXP Operating System, not Outlook Express.

I assume you're referring to the Contacts pane.

How many Windows Live/MSN (not Windows) Messenger contacts do you have?
