I have set up a user account for myself and my wife on
WINDOWS XP. We both use OUTLOOK EXPRESS and want to
share address books. Where are they stored and what
would I have to do so we can share?

This is not a reply to your query but I thought I should tell you my
experience setting up separate accounts for my wife and self. I found that
al the changes I do on my account to programmes etc is not automatically
carried out on my wife's account. This means that unless you carry out
changes to both accounts they drift apart. We now just run one account.

I'd try to put a copy of my AddressBook in the SharedFiles folder; I never
did it but might work.
