Outlook Express add attachment throw shortcut do not work!

Hello!

I have a customer that have windows XP and Outlook Express 6.0 and when he
writes a new mail and wants to add a file he wants to use shortcuts he has on
his desktop to folders he use often, but when you try to do that instead of
open the shortcut to view files in the folder Outlook insert the shortcut as
a *.lnk file.

They also have a W2K computer with Outlook Express 6.0 and on that computer
it works to open folder shortcuts to view files.

Then I tried on my own computers and I have one with Win98 and Outlook
Express 6.0 and that also insert shortcuts as files. Than I tried on a W2K
computer that I have with Outlook Express and on that it works, it opens the
shortcut so I can see files in the folder.

Anybody know about this and can help me?
I would be very happy if I could solve this for my customer.

Best regardes Thomas!

so you want a text link to the file instead of attaching the shortcut? You
can't do what you want with shortcuts - you'll need to look at the shortcut
properties and copy and paste it or get clipname and copy the path to the
actual file. http://www.mainsoft.fr/en/downloads.htm
