Outlook Express 6

On XP Home. When launching Outlook Express my AOL IM
automatically starts. I have made sure that this option is
unchecked under Tools\Options. Unchecking this has had no
effect. What gives?
 
are u talking about AOL IM or MSN/Windows Messenger? i
know outlook can make MSN/Windows Messenger start, but i'm
not sure about AIM. anyway the opition to turn it off
would be in outlook under the tools, also make sure that
their is not an opition in AIM.
 
In AIM (not OE) somewhere in Tools>Options, uncheck "Make AIM my default
messenger" option.
