Outlook Express 6 Won't Show Links

Cliff

Hi I recently had a problem with Outlook Express but seemed to have sorted
the problem but now when a picture link is sent it doesn't show, and I don't
get the bar along the top telling me to click here to show the links it has
worked fine up until now, it isn't in the add/remove so I can't reinstall or
repair it and I can't find a way to reinstall IE or Outlook Express without
reinstalling SP2. I did find a link to IE6 in the Microsoft site but it told
me I had a newer version than the one I was downloading and stopped.
Any ideas?

Hi Cliff. I may have the solution. I could not click on a link shown in OE
6.0 for the past ten days until yesterday. After spending a lot of time and
research on the problem, a kind soul told me yesterday to go to Internet
Options>Programs and click "Reset Web Settings" and then click "apply." Did
so and now I can bring up hyperlinks, etc. shown in OE 6. Apparently, a lot
of people have had this problem and it's brought about by Windows XP SP2.
And it doesn't happen right after you install SP2. It took weeks for my
problem to crop up. And IE 6.0 was my default browser all along, at least I
thought so.
Try this and see if it cures your problem. Hope it fixes it for you!

I've tried but no difference, also I can't use the left mouse button for
editing in the body of messages, what I need I think is a repair/reinstall.
Thanks for the help.
