Outlook Express 6 inbox problem

Running XP Home with OE6. Some reason I am unable to delete or move any
messages from the inbox? All other functions work fine, able to forward or
delete from delete box but for some reason all messages in the "inbox" are
frozen? Toolbars appear to be working, hour glass appears but will not delete
message? Thanks in advance!!!
