Outlook express 6.0

When I open express the last message is highlighted and opened. It used to
always highlight the oldest message. How do I change this back? Also, is
there anyway to stop it from opening a message when it is highlighted? It
would be nice to do that when there is an obvious spam message that just
needs to be deleted.
 
Click the "Received" heading so that you can see an arrowhead pointing
upwards (for descending sort according to date received). Next time, you
open OE, the oldest message will be the first one on the list and it will be
shown in the Preview pane.

BTW, you posted to the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is for Microsoft
Access, a database application. Sugguest you post OE question to the OE
newsgroup.
