Outlook Express 6.0 help

I have a client that is using Outlook Express 6.0, and
when she emails groups of people, when done with sending
her email, an "icon" with the "Windows" symbol appears on
her desktop and is named with just a "~". Any help on
what is causing this and how to fix? Thanks!

A certain recent hotfix causes the "tilde" [ ~ ] to install a "false"
address book file to desktop. It can be safely deleted.
