Outlook Express 2000 - no autoreply option.

Hello,

Back to Outlook Express 2000.

I am using a pop and smtp server - sending and receiving email is just fine!

Except - there is not autoreply notification option.

Why is that?

There just seems to be no option for it.

Why would that be?

Thanks,

Tmuld.

Firstly there is no such thing as "Outlook Express 2000". there is Outlook
2000 and Outlook Express. Which are you using?

And you are correct. My apologies - no brains no headaches.

It is Outlook 2000.

Thanks,

the auto reply option - Out of Office Assistant - only exists if you connect
to Exchange server. You CAN emulate it with a Rule, but there are some
serious downsides to that, such as your machine must be on 24/7, Outlook
must be running 24/7, you must be connected to the internet 24/7, and if you
are not careful, then all the spam you get sent will be replied to!
