When using the right-click "Save picture as" option on some files, the file
name comes up with the spacers and % markers, for instance,
Mauldin%20-%20Santa%20Claus%20-%20msg

This does not happen in every case but is a nuisance. The actual files are
usually jpgs and I am using IE7.

Can anybody advise on a remedy please?

John.

I am a newbie, so take this with a grain of salt. Here in Canada, where we
have both English and French, I have seen this when receiving emails typed
in a French OS and with a French keyboard. Could it be the same for you?

You might have a point, Carlos. Looking at my newsgroups, the % names only
come up with certain senders. I didn't spot this before but it's obvious
now. I'll keep my eyes open.

There may not be a remedy, but at least it isn't my pc software.

Many thanks,

John.
