When i press the minimize button outlook exits completly - This also happens
when I press the outlook icon in the task bar when Outlook is running

Are you sure it isn't just minimizing to the System tray the way it is
designed to do?

Russ;

Is there a way to minimize to the task bar rather than the system tray. I
click rather than 2 ?
Thanks Bill

Is there a way to minimize outlook to the task bar rather to the system
tray, 1 click versus 2 (like the previous version ). By the way I just
upgraded to 2003

Well of course.
Just turn off the "Hide When Minimized" Feature (R click the icon in the
systray).
Then Outlook will revert to its old behavior of minimizing to the taskbar.
