Outlook Error Under MCE 2005

I have just done a clean install of Media Centre 2005 and have installed
Office 2003, Everytime you try to open Outlook 2003 i get a "The Operation
Failed" error message and when i click OK Outlook closes. HAs anyone else had
this or know a fix?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Wayne asked:
