Outlook Emails/Contacts Gone with XP Upgrade

I installed the Windows XP upgrade to my computer last night and now my all my Outlook contacts, calendar and emails are GONE. I can't seem to find them on my computer at all. I was under the impression that the upgrade would not lose my settings/preferences... arent my emails and contacts and calendar my settings? Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do to find them... or are they lost forever? Thanks
