does not show any of the email I am trying to respond too. I can't type in
the blue area either. My email address is (e-mail address removed).

What version of Outlook is this? Do you get any error messages when you try
to send? Have you recently upgraded to a newer version of Outlook or have
you installed any updates or 3rd party add-ins lately? We need more
information from you.

It is the latest version. I just purchased a new PC from Dell. I am not
getting any error messages and I have not installed any upgrades. What are
3rd party add-ins?
The area where you nnormally type a response to an email is not availabale
the whole aea is blue in color and you can not even read the email you are
responding too. I hope that helps.
thanks,
Merle

This may or may not apply in your case since it mostly seems to affect
calendar appointments or meetings...but since you have a new Dell, it is
worth looking into.

A 3rd party add-in is a program written by someone other than Microsoft,
which you can add to a Microsoft program to make it do something it can't do
on its own. Dell has included such an add-in with its newest computers which
doesn't seem to get along with Outlook very well. It is called "Outlook
Setup Addin".

Read the article called "Recurring Meetings Bug?" at
http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2007/up070315.htm#2. It tells you you need to
uninstall this program from Windows Control Panel. Hopefully after you do
that your mail issue will be fixed. Please post back either way with your
results.
