OUTLOOK EMAIL MERGE IN HTML FORMAT

When I email merge a Word 2000 document using Outlook 2003 the email content
is changed to TEXT, and all formatting is lost. Is there a way for the
content sent to be in HTML or Rich Text? Thanks.
