When I try and compose an email, I get a message that the address list could
not be displayed- the contacts folder couldn't be opened. I must have change
some setting- but sure can't figure out where. Any thoughts??

It may be corrupt. Open Outlook and delete the Outlook Address Book (not the
contacts list!!). How you access this depends on the Outlook version, for
example in 2007, it is in Tools > Account Settings > Address Books. In 2003
it is Tools > Options > Mail Setup > E-mail accounts > View Or Change
existing address books

Then re-add the Outlook Address Book which will fix the broken links to the
Contacts list.

Outlook must of course be the default e-mail application for the address
book to work at all.
