Outlook does not work

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to uninstall and then reinstall Outlook.
Everytime I open outlook it works for a short period and then locks up I ran
sytems diagnostic, and it says I have 1 problem, and sends me to microsoft,
who in turn says they have no solution to my proiblem, so I am wondering if I
can uninstall and reinstall, and how would I do this.

I would start by telling the gurus here in this newsgroup exactly what your
problem is and which version of Outlook and OS.

Version of Outlook?
Did you try Detect and Repair (Office diagnostics in Outlook 2007)? It
usually fixes everything uninstall/reinstall does, in much less time.
Did you try a new profile?
disable scanning of mail by your antivirus?
