Outlook does not show HTML pages

Whenever someone sends me an HTML mail message, Outlook
sees it as plain text. When I open the mail message, the
View->HTML menu selection on the message is grayed out.
Any suggestions on how I would get it to render the HTML
message?

What version of Outlook? Do you have "read all mail in plain text" checked?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
