outlook deletes mail when maailis closed

outlook deletes mail when maailis closed.there are no
rules,no autoarchive,or delete old mail option is not
selected.os xp pro.outlook 2000
 
Enable the Advanced Toolbar (right click on toolbar) and use the views
dropdown. Most likely, you changed your view to unread messages.
