Outlook crashes

Hello - One of my clients is experiencing weird behavior on a WinXP system
running Outlook 2003. We run SBS2003 on our network and none of the other
clients are having this problem.

Everytime he clicks 'New Mail Message' on the Outlook toolbar and tries to
add an addressee, Outlook crashes.

When he 'replies' to a received email, the message is saved in 'Outbox' then
Outlook crashes before the message can be sent. As soon as Outlook is
restarted, all messages in Outbox are sent.

Any ideas? I don't even know where to begin. Is there a way I can fix this
client's version of Outlook 2003?

Thanks in advance.

Open any Office program and use Help->Detect and Repair. Ensure you have
access to your Office CD.

Milly,

I ran Detect & Repair but the same problem persists. Any suggestions?

A few more items to note:
1. Somehow a new signature has been added to Outlook. The signature appears
to be an add for Spam Inspector. The client had Spam Inspector running many
months ago but no longer uses it. We have no idea how long the signature has
been around.
2. The client PC was running extremely slow last week. The user decided to
run Search & Destroy to clear out any spywear on the PC. This is the point
where we noticed Outlook started misbehaving.
3. I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook2003. Still having the same
problems.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ray

One more thing - here is the event viewer listing. Does this mean anything?

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.5510.0, stamp 3f1380f0,
faulting module outllib.dll, version 11.0.5608.0, stamp 3f35d24e, debug? 0,
fault address 0x002bb759.

Update on my Outlook 2003 crash problems.

In summary, Outlook crashes when this one particular client tries entering
an email address in either the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: field of a compose window
(we cannot use Word for the compose window). After many hours of detective
work, we have pinpointed a work around for this problem. If the client
disables the following two advanced email options, Outlook does not crash:
1. Automatic name checking
2. Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields

I am very interested in hearing why using these features would cause Outlook
to crash. Any ideas?

Ray
