Outlook contacts

In my outlook contacts display I am getting doubles of folders i.e. if I make
a new folder called family this appears then I get a second folder with
family in personal folders. I have tried deleting one of them but they both
delete. Is there a setting that I can use to remove one of them or it is the
way Outlook has been set up from day one? If anyone can help it would be much
appreciated.

You haven't stated which version of Outlook you're running so my suggestions may
or may not apply.

You might try running the Inbox Repair Tool that is supplied with Outlook. See
this link for more info:

If still no joy, try running the Detect and Repair utility. It's accessed from
the Help menu in Outlook.
